Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has called on residents to embrace agriculture to combat hunger, rather than engaging in protests.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He introduced the “Farm To Feed Campaign” in Amansea, located in Awka North, as a strategic initiative to address food scarcity and drive the state’s development.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the proactive approach, Soludo praised the community for choosing constructive actions over protests, emphasizing that citizens are focusing on solutions despite widespread economic challenges.<\/p>\n

He mentioned the distribution of over one million palm and coconut seedlings, with a goal of reaching ten million by the end of his tenure.<\/p>\n

Soludo encouraged every citizen, including public servants, to participate in farming, suggesting that increased local food production could alleviate the pressure on food prices.<\/p>\n

He urged the community to utilize available land for cultivation, stressing the importance of turning challenges into opportunities.<\/p>\n

Supporting Soludo’s initiative, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze, commended the governor’s efforts in promoting agriculture to enhance food security and economic growth.<\/p>\n

Udeze likened Soludo’s agricultural policies to those of the late Dr. Michael Okpara, noting the significant impact of agriculture on the region’s economy during Okpara’s time.<\/p>\n
