Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Christopher Musa on Tuesday convened a meeting at the Defence Headquarters with all heads of security forces in Nigeria.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Musa said that the military and security agencies are focused on apprehending individuals behind calls for an undemocratic change of government, acknowledging that these protests were likely orchestrated by certain groups.<\/p>\n

He assured Nigerians of the military’s dedication to maintaining law and order, urging the public to join hands with security forces to foster a better nation.<\/p>\n

Musa spoke on the importance of collaboration among security agencies to achieve national peace and stability, stressing that their actions are aimed only at those threatening the state.<\/p>\n

He reiterated the military’s commitment to protecting the country and supporting the president’s mandate for peace.<\/p>\n

Chief of Army Staff Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja reaffirmed the army’s commitment to addressing protests that have escalated into riots, while continuing to combat terrorism and banditry.<\/p>\n

He noted that military operations in Borno State are yielding positive results, with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) returning to their homes, indicating a return to peace and stability.<\/p>\n

Vice Adm. Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff, stated that the navy continues to collaborate with other services to ensure maritime security, particularly in the Niger Delta, which has resulted in increased oil production and revenue generation.<\/p>\n

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, confirmed the Air Force’s dedication to supporting all military operations and safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity.<\/p>\n

The meeting also included the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, and the Commandant-General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), demonstrating a united front in addressing the nation’s security challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
