Aliyu Suleiman, Group Chief Strategy Officer of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Company, made this revelation during an interactive session with the Senate Ad-hoc committee investigating alleged sabotage in the petroleum industry.<\/p>\n

This statement supersedes earlier claims by Rabiu A. Umar, Group Chief Commercial Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, who stated that NNPC supplied only 33% of the refinery’s crude oil demand.<\/p>\n
He added that the refinery, which has the capacity of refining 650,000 per day, could not depend on short supply from Nigeria\u2019s oil company.<\/p>\n

But during his presentation, Aliyu Suleiman stated that out of the five million barrels of crude oil they got in recent time, \u201cNNPC gave them 60 per cent, 20 per cent was imported, and 20 per cent was purchased\u201d.<\/p>\n

Aliyu Suleiman expressed gratitude for the strong partnership between Dangote Refinery and NNPC, acknowledging the significant supply of 60% of their recent 5 million barrels of crude oil.<\/p>\n
