Nigeria\u2019s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has launched an initiative aimed at empowering petty traders across the nation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through the Renewed Hope Initiative Women Economic Empowerment program, she plans to provide financial support to 1,000 petty traders in each of Nigeria\u2019s 36 states, as well as in the Federal Capital Territory, bringing the total to 37,000 beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Each trader will receive N50,000 to boost their businesses.<\/p>\n

This announcement was made in Enugu during the annual August Meeting, a prominent gathering of women, where Tinubu was represented by Nana Shettima, the Wife of the Vice President.<\/p>\n

The initiative is designed to alleviate the economic challenges faced by women and their families.<\/p>\n

It also highlighted the broader scope of the Renewed Hope Initiative, which includes education, agriculture, health, and social investment programs.<\/p>\n

The August Meeting, a traditional event in the Igbo culture, serves as a platform for women to discuss critical societal issues, including political participation and community development.<\/p>\n
