Gunmen have reportedly killed Shagari Ebije\u2019ego Job, the traditional chief (Onu) of Itama in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi State.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The attack occurred at his residence on Monday evening, where he was shot and killed.<\/p>\n

The perpetrators, who have yet to be identified, followed the chief to his home before launching their assault around 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

Residents observed a group of armed men driving into town and heading directly to the chief’s residence.<\/p>\n

Moments later, gunshots were heard, causing panic among the locals as they fled for safety.<\/p>\n

After the attackers left, the community discovered the tragic death of their traditional ruler.<\/p>\n

The incident has caused widespread fear, leading some residents to flee to nearby villages.<\/p>\n
