According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Benue, Delta, and Borno are currently the most affordable states to reside in Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n The NBS released its Consumer Price Index and Inflation Data for July on Thursday, revealing that these three states experienced the smallest year-on-year increases in headline inflation. <\/span><\/p>\n Benue recorded a 27.28 percent inflation rate, Delta 28.06 percent, and Borno 28.33 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n On a month-to-month basis, the lowest inflation increases were observed in Taraba (0.17 percent), Kwara (0.62 percent), and Ondo (0.91 percent). <\/span><\/p>\n In contrast, Abuja (3.91 percent), Borno (3.84 percent), and Enugu (3.76 percent) saw the highest inflation increases during the same period.<\/span><\/p>\n Earlier reports highlighted that Nigeria’s overall headline inflation rate decreased to 33.90 percent in July, marking the first decline since 2022 when it was 21.34 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n The NBS also noted a drop in food inflation, attributed to lower prices of staple foods like garri and fufu, which contributed to the reduction from 40.87 percent in June to 39.53 percent in July.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Benue, Delta, and Borno are currently the most affordable states to reside in Nigeria.
