A severe flood has struck multiple communities in the Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, causing significant damage and widespread losses.<\/p>\n

Six people are said to have died in the disaster, which has also caused over 2,000 people to be displaced and numerous homes, farms, and bridges to be destroyed.<\/p>\n

Kichinga, the home town of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as well as Mildu, Maradi, Mayo Wandu, Shuware, Pambla 2, and Palam are among the worst-hit communities.<\/p>\n

Hon. Simon Musa, the Executive Chairman of Madagali LGC, confirmed the incident in a news interview, stating that some of the affected communities had never seen a disaster of that magnitude before.<\/p>\n

He said that ten makeshift camps had already been set up to house thousands of displaced people.<\/p>\n

Musa claims that the flooding was brought on by a strong downpour on the Mandara mountain, which eroded and damaged homes, farms, food supplies, and the Shuwa Bridge.<\/p>\n

He made a plea for the affected communities to receive immediate aid from the federal, state, and nonprofit governments.<\/p>\n

Shuwa village chief Mustafa Mohammed Sanusi called the incident “unfortunate and pathetic,” appealing with the authorities to step in and help the impacted communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
