This appointment takes effect immediately.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Labbadia, born on February 8, 1966, in Darmstadt, Germany, earned two caps for the German national team, Die Mannschaft. He brings extensive coaching experience, having managed well-known clubs such as Hertha Berlin, VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg, Hamburger SV, and Bayer Leverkusen. He also holds a UEFA Pro License.<\/p>\n<p>Labbadia becomes the sixth German to lead the Super Eagles, following in the footsteps of Karl-Heinz Marotzke, Gottlieb G\u00f6ller, Manfred H\u00f6ner, Berti Vogts, and Gernot Rohr.<\/p>\n<p>His first task will be to guide the three-time African champions through two crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches: against Benin Republic on September 7th in Uyo and Rwanda on September 10th in Kigali.
