Chief George Moghalu, a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), has announced his departure from the party.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moghalu, who previously served as the APC’s National Auditor, formally communicated his resignation in a letter dated August 26, 2024.<\/p>\n

Addressed to the APC chairman of Uruagu Ward 1 in Nnewi, he expressed his intention to leave the party effective immediately, while extending well wishes to all party members and hoping for continued positive relations.<\/p>\n

A key figure in the establishment of the APC, Moghalu played a vital role during the party’s formation from the merger of earlier political groups.<\/p>\n

He previously sought the party’s governorship nomination in 2017 and 2021.<\/p>\n

Moghalu’s recent engagement with the APC included a generous donation at the State Youth Wing Conference in Awka.<\/p>\n
