A high court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to acknowledge Christopher Imumolen as the Accord Party’s (AP) national chairman.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Imumolen, who was the party\u2019s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, had filed a suit alongside 12 other party officials against Maxwell Mgbudem and 13 additional defendants.<\/p>\n

Judge M.M. Adamu issued the ruling on Friday, which remains in effect until the court resolves the case.<\/p>\n

The order prohibits the defendants from presenting themselves as national executives of the party and from organizing any state or local government congresses until the main case is decided.<\/p>\n

Among those listed as defendants are Mgbudem, INEC, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), and ten other individuals.<\/p>\n
