{"id":144793,"date":"2024-09-02T17:42:40","date_gmt":"2024-09-02T16:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsdigest.ng\/?p=144793"},"modified":"2024-09-02T17:42:40","modified_gmt":"2024-09-02T16:42:40","slug":"native-doctor-deadly-mistake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepublicpulse.ng\/?p=144793","title":{"rendered":"Native Doctor&#8217;s Deadly Mistake Killed Client During Bulletproof Charm Test"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 19-year-old self-proclaimed native doctor in Edo State has been arrested for accidentally shooting and killing his client while testing a bulletproof charm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The native doctor, who specializes in creating charms against gunshots and cutlass attacks, made a deadly mistake when he tried to prove the charm&#8217;s efficacy by shooting his client, Alex Ezekiel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ezekiel had approached the native doctor for protection, but instead, he was met with a fatal gunshot wound. The incident occurred on August 20 in Onumu Community, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Monday by the State Police Command spokesman, SP Moses Yamu, the victim, Alex Ezekiel, approached the suspect and requested the bulletproof charm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne Alex Ezekiel \u2018m\u2019 now deceased, went to the \u201cnative doctor\u201d to get the charms prepared for him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter preparing the charms, the native doctor tried to test the efficacy of the charm by shooting the deceased with a gun.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, the deceased sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to Ifejola Hospital, Igarra, where he was certified dead by a medical Doctor,\u201d the statement said<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest and is conducting an investigation.
