Imo police foil organ harvesting plot, rescue victim<\/p>\n
Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a suspected kidnapper and organ harvester in the Douglas area of Imo State.<\/p>\n
The suspect, identified as Justine Emmanuel, a 38-year-old man from Amimo in Ikeduru Local Government Area, was apprehended during a rescue operation.<\/p>\n
The police also rescued a 19-year-old lady, whose identity has been withheld for privacy reasons.<\/p>\n
In a statement on Saturday, the police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, revealed that the arrest followed a swift response by officers on patrol, who observed suspicious activity involving a blue and white bus.<\/p>\n

The operatives noticed the suspects forcefully attempting to take the young lady to an undisclosed location, where they allegedly planned to kill her and harvest her organs.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the chase, the victim courageously jumped from the moving bus and was rescued by our operatives.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cThe police gave chase, prompting the suspects to abandon the vehicle. While one suspect was arrested, others fled into the nearby bush,\u201d Okoye said.<\/p>\n

The command has launched further investigations to track down the remaining members of the syndicate and uncover the full extent of their criminal activities.<\/p>\n

Okoye reiterated the command\u2019s commitment to tackling violent crime and ensuring the community\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n
