Benue Killings: Tinubu visits injured victims at Teaching Hospital<\/p>\n
President Bola Tinubu has visited surviving victims of last Friday\u2019s brutal attack in Yelwata community, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.<\/p>\n
Tinubu’s visit to the North-Central State came in response to the recent attack that claimed over 59 lives and left many others injured.<\/p>\n
Immediately after his arrival at the Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, at about 12:58 pm today, the President went straight to the hospital to visit the victims of the assault<\/p>\n
He later proceeded from the hospital to the new Banquet Hall of the State Government House where he was set to meet with key stakeholders to address the bloodshed and find a lasting solution to the crisis affecting Benue’s rural communities<\/p>\n
During the visit, the President is also expected to meet with families of victims, displaced and injured persons, as well as community leaders who were directly impacted by the violence.<\/p>\n
Expected attendees included Governor Hyacinth Alia, Governors from North-Central states, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, service chiefs, National Assembly members, APC leaders, and community representatives of the affected areas<\/p>\n
