Gunmen Hijack Fully Loaded Bus, Abduct All Passengers<\/p>\n
A Benue Links commercial bus was hijacked on Sunday evening by suspected gunmen at Eke, a community along the Otukpo-Otukpa road in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. The attackers reportedly intercepted the vehicle around 6:30 p.m., robbed all passengers of their belongings, and abducted them into the nearby forest.<\/p>\n
The bus, identified by its registration number 14B-143BN, was transporting travellers when the armed men laid an ambush. Eyewitness accounts suggest the victims were taken at gunpoint into the bush after the robbery.<\/p>\n
Benue State APC Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada, is said to have arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and immediately alerted security agencies. His prompt action triggered a rapid deployment of military and police personnel, who launched search-and-rescue efforts.<\/p>\n
Security operations are ongoing, with authorities working to locate and rescue the kidnapped passengers.<\/p>\n
