President Tinubu Mourns Legendary Business Tycoon Aminu Dantata<\/p>\n
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of elder statesman, business mogul, and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who passed away at the age of 94 in the early hours of Saturday.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Dantata\u2019s passing as a monumental national loss, citing his invaluable contributions to Nigeria\u2019s economic development and public service.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlhaji Dantata will be remembered for his industry, diligence, steadfastness, and great commitment to national unity through his many business ventures and philanthropic activities that touched countless lives of Nigerians,\u201d the President stated.<\/p>\n
Dantata, a highly respected figure in Nigeria’s corporate and philanthropic landscape, also served as Commissioner for Planning and Development in the old Kano State, among other public roles.<\/p>\n
President Tinubu also reflected on his personal relationship with the late businessman, describing his wise counsel and support as both encouraging and beneficial.<\/p>\n
He lauded Dantata\u2019s legacy of public-spirited philanthropy, especially in the areas of education and healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith the death of Alhaji Dantata today, we lost a prominent business mogul, patriot, and elder statesman who contributed significantly to the growth and development of our nation,\u201d Tinubu added.<\/p>\n
