<\/p>\nHealth Ministry Sends Forth 16 Retired Staff with Gratitude and Appreciation<\/p>\n
The Department of Hospital Services in the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Thursday, organized a sendforth party for 16 of its retired staff.<\/p>\n
The ceremony, themed “Celebrating a Life of Service, Impact, and Excellence,” was held at the Nigerian National Merit House, Abuja.<\/p>\n
At the event, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate praised the staff for their invaluable contributions to Nigeria’s health sector development. “You have done your best in the service of your fatherland. You came, served with dedication, and now retired. You are part of the health family, and we appreciate you,” Pate said.<\/p>\n

The Minister of State for Health, Dr. Iziaq Salako, emphasized that retirees from all fields should be treated with dignity, as retirement is a sacrosanct. He noted that the current administration holds retirees in high esteem and is working assidously to ensure they receive their deserved respect.<\/p>\n
Dr. Salako wished them a peaceful retirement life, urging them to continue offering their expertise to advance the nation’s health sector whenever their counsel is sought for<\/p>\n
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Ms. Kachollom Daju highlighted the retirees’ remarkable service, professionalism, and commitment to the health ecosystem. “Your tireless work, though often silent, has touched countless lives deeply. Your legacy lives on, and we appreciate you on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she said.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jimoh Salaudeen, Director of the Department of Hospital Management, saluted the staff for their resilience and contributions to shaping Nigeria’s healthcare system. He reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to advancing innovation, efficiency, and improved service delivery in hospital management.<\/p>\n
On behalf of the honorees, Dr. Noah Andrew urged civil servants to be zealous and committed in their duty posts. He advised planning for retirement from the onset of one’s career, saying, “Retirement is not a death sentence. Begin to plan for your retirement the day you assume duty, so you can chart the way forward with ease when you exit.”<\/p>\n
