{"id":149028,"date":"2025-10-16T15:35:50","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T14:35:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepublicpulse.ng\/?p=149028"},"modified":"2025-10-16T15:35:50","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T14:35:50","slug":"nigerias-inflation-rate-drops-to-18-02","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepublicpulse.ng\/?p=149028","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria&#8217;s Inflation rate drops to 18.02%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nigeria&#8217;s Inflation rate drops to 18.02%<\/p>\n<p>Nigeria\u2019s headline inflation rate has eased from the 20.12 per cent recorded in August 2025 to 18.02 per cent in September, according to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Inflation Report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The report shows that inflation fell by 0.72 per cent month-on-month, marking the sixth consecutive decline this year and signalling gradual economic stability and improved price control measures across key sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The NBS noted that food inflation also recorded a month-on-month decrease of -1.57 per cent, reflecting slight relief in the prices of staple food items.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn September 2025, the headline inflation rate eased to 18.02 per cent relative to the August 2025 inflation rate of 20.12 per cent. The month-on-month headline inflation rate in September 2025 was 0.72 per cent. The food inflation rate was -1.57 per cent month-on-month,\u201d the bureau stated.<\/p>\n<p>Economic analyst and CEO of Financial Derivatives Company, Bismark Rewane, projected in his recent report that Nigeria\u2019s inflation could further moderate to around 18 per cent by November 2025 if the current trend continues.
