An unspecified number of travelers have been reportedly\u00a0killed following a suspected bomb explosion along the Yar\u2019Tasha\u2013Dansadau road in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.<\/p>\n
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Yazid Abubakar, reportedly confirmed the incident to Daily Post on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to Daily Post, he confirmed it in a telephone interview, where he said, \u201cI can confirm that there was a blast in that area but the incident just happened. I can\u2019t tell you details yet. I will update you later.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, PUNCH Online was unable to reach the PPRO for confirmation as his phone was switched off at the time of filing this report.<\/p>\n
Videos of the alleged aftermath of the incident have been circulating online, showing travelers fleeing the scene in panic.<\/p>\n
