AVF: 14.5 Million Northern Voters Back Atiku Ahead of 2027 Polls<\/p>\n
No fewer than 14.5 million voters across Northern Nigeria have pledged support for former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2027 general election, declaring readiness to vote for him regardless of the political platform he may choose.<\/p>\n
The pledge was disclosed by Comrade Idris Ibrahim U\/Gini, National Team Leader of the Voters Engagement Project, during a solidarity visit by representatives of Doguwa members to his office.<\/p>\n
Addressing the delegation, Idris urged members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts by identifying, uniting, and engaging eligible voters willing to support the former vice president in the forthcoming election. He emphasized sustained voter education and community-level awareness as critical strategies in consolidating support across the region.<\/p>\n
According to him, the movement in support of Atiku goes beyond regional interest, stressing that it is anchored on the broader objective of safeguarding Nigeria\u2019s democracy and strengthening national unity.<\/p>\n
He expressed concern over what he described as growing divisions in the country under the current administration, alleging uneven allocation of national resources, concentration of key government appointments in a particular region, and the relocation of certain ministries and agencies for regional advantage.<\/p>\n
Idris maintained that renewed civic commitment and collective responsibility remain essential to preserving the country\u2019s democratic values.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe must redouble our commitment to securing the future of our younger generation and preserving the unity of Nigeria,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
