The tour reinforced two clear directives from the Governor: timely completion of all projects without excuses, and greater inclusion of proven, high-performing contractors.<\/p>\n
The Governor began his inspection at the Aviation Village, a 15-hectare estate designed to house aviation agency staff ahead of the commencement of international flight operations at the Victor Attah International Airport. He assessed completed two- and three-bedroom housing units, the dual-carriage access road, internal road network, perimeter fencing, and a model primary school within the estate. Governor Eno expressed confidence in the project\u2019s delivery timeline, noting that the 100 housing units are critical to the state\u2019s aviation expansion plans.<\/p>\n

While at the Aviation Village, the Governor singled out female contractors handling key components of the project, praising their professionalism, speed, and quality of work. The tour continued at the Equipment Leasing and Maintenance Plant, a strategic facility for mechanized agriculture in the state. The plant comprises 20 tractor sheds, administrative buildings, a fully equipped maintenance workshop, 25 tractors with attachable implements, and two low-bed transport vehicles. The facility is positioned to reduce the cost of farm mechanization and significantly boost food production across Akwa Ibom.<\/p>\n

Governor Eno also inspected the designated site for the CNG Mass Transit Bus Terminal. Undeterred by heavy rains, the Governor concluded his tour at the Dakkada Luxury Estate, where the State Assembly Quarters and Executive Council Quarters are currently under construction.
