Minister of Women Affairs Salutes Staff on Workers’ Day, Reaffirms Commitment to Welfare, Renewed Hope<\/p>\n
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim\u00a0\u00a0 has extended warm solidarity to management and staff of the Ministry, its parastatal, the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, in commemoration of the 2026 Workers\u2019 Day.<\/p>\n
In a message personally signed by the Minister, Friday, she described workers as \u201cquiet hands that steady the nation and faithful hearts that keep its promise alive,\u201d while honouring the dignity of labour and enduring spirit of service.<\/p>\n
Hajia Sulaiman-Ibrahim noted that this year\u2019s Workers\u2019 Day finds the Ministry firmly aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which places people, productivity, and shared prosperity at its core.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a Ministry, we are central to this vision, advancing inclusion, strengthening families, and delivering social protection where it matters most,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Highlighting ongoing interventions, the Minister noted that through the Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention (RHSII-774), the Ministry is scaling impact across all 774 Local Government Areas, expanding empowerment opportunities, deepening community reach, and positioning its workforce at the frontline of measurable national transformation.<\/p>\n
\u201cBetter days are not distant; they are being built. The welfare of our staff is not peripheral but fundamental \u2014 an essential pillar in achieving our mandate and sustaining the results we seek,\u201d Sulaiman-Ibrahim assured.<\/p>\n
The statement also referenced the declaration of 2026 as the _Year ofFriday, Families and Social Development<\/i>_, describing it as both \u201ca charge and a catalyst\u201d that affirms the Ministry\u2019s mandate, elevates its relevance, and unlocks new pathways for programme expansion, stronger partnerships, and greater institutional impact.<\/p>\n
For staff of the Ministry, Hajia Ibrahim-Sulaiman gave a clear assurance that their welfare, growth, and productivity remain a priority.<\/p>\n
