The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has charged its female staff to project professionalism, confidence, and discipline to strengthen their workplace impact.<\/p>\n
At TCN\u2019s first all-female staff forum held in Abuja recently, Executive Director, HR and Corporate Services, Mrs. Abiodun Afolabi Fadahunsi, said professional presence reflects \u201ccompetence, credibility, and character\u201d shown daily at work.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs women, we must speak with clarity and confidence\u2014whether in the control room, on site, or in management meetings,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is not about competition but about strengthening our collective impact as women in TCN.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fadahunsi urged staff to build professional confidence across technical and administrative roles, maintain appropriate dress, practise effective communication, respect organisational structure, and remain dependable. She also stressed integrity, visibility, and continuous development.<\/p>\n
General Manager, Legal, Mrs. Fatima Muhtar, said appearance shapes first impressions. \u201cA polished look communicates confidence before you speak. Keep it simple, clean, and professional,\u201d she said in her presentation, _Dressing Right: The Power of Corporate Appearance<\/i>_.<\/p>\n
General Manager, Medical, Dr. Agatha Edet-Ademiluyi, linked health to productivity. \u201cYou power the nation; now power yourself,\u201d she said, urging balanced nutrition, exercise, medical check-ups, and work breaks to prevent burnout.<\/p>\n

Other speakers included GM, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, on respect and workplace relationships; GM, Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Mrs. Jane Okemini, on transparency and accountability; and GM, Corporate Security, Mrs. Jamila Tani, on workplace security.<\/p>\n
Also present were GM, ICT, Mrs. Oludade Morie Omolola, and GM, Audit, Mrs. Lubabatu Balaraba Yusuf, alongside female staff from TCN Headquarters.<\/p>\n
