Fake Presidential Council: Ex-DG vows to Submit All Documents to DSS, Police<\/p>\n
The former Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, has pledged to submit all documents in his possession to security agencies to assist ongoing investigations into the controversial agency.<\/p>\n
Speaking during a conversation with social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi said he was ready to cooperate fully with any investigation ordered by President Bola Tinubu to uncover the truth behind the matter.<\/p>\n
_Daily Sun_ reported on Wednesday that Adeyemi said, \u201cI am willing and ready to help security agencies or any panel set up by Mr. President to unravel the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n
Adeyemi disclosed that he would personally report to either the Department of State Services (DSS) or the Nigeria Police Force with all the documents in his possession.<\/p>\n
He was quoted as saying, \u201cAny moment from now, I will go to DSS or police to submit all the documents I have to help them investigate and look into this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the report, Adeyemi urged investigators to carefully verify the documents and establish those responsible for the controversy surrounding the agency.
\n\u201cThey should authenticate it. They should verify it. Then they should unravel the truth,\u201d he was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n
During the discussion, Adeyemi maintained that he was not involved in preparing or defending the agency\u2019s budget, explaining that he was in police detention when the 2025 budget was being processed.<\/p>\n
According to him, he was arrested on October 27, detained for 23 days and released on November 19 before being charged to court on November 27. He said the timeline left him confused about how the agency eventually appeared in the national budget.<\/p>\n
The report added that VeryDarkMan questioned how an agency later described by the Presidency as non-existent found its way into the federal budget, arguing that the circumstances suggested the involvement of influential individuals.<\/p>\n
He, however, said only a thorough investigation would determine those responsible and welcomed Adeyemi\u2019s decision to hand over evidence to security agencies, describing it as the appropriate next step.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
