Following a brief lull in the Federal Capital Territory, protesters are back on the streets in Abuja on Saturday.
The protest has resumed its activities after being suspended earlier because of raids on homes and the apprehension of its organizers.
The protest which started on August 1 is expected to end today with a one million-man march across the country.
The number of security officers stationed at Eagles Square has also noticeably increased, in contrast to the previous three days when there haven’t been any protests.
Protesters on Saturday started chanting slogans like “End hunger” and “Reverse fuel subsidy removal,” among other things, as early as 7 a.m.
