President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Abuja for France on a brief working visit.
On Monday afternoon, the President left Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
Following a three-day official visit to Equatorial Guinea, the Nigerian leader returned to Abuja, and now Tinubu is on his way again.
After revealing on Sunday night that the President “will embark on a trip to France on Monday, August 19, departing from Abuja, the nation’s capital,” Ajuri Ngelale is the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.
“The President will return to the country after his brief work stay in France.” Ngelale had said.
Ngelale’s announcement coincided with the release of one of the three presidential jets that had been seized in accordance with a French court’s order, which was announced by Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, the Chinese company that had taken Nigeria to international courts for alleged breach of agreement.
One of the jets was released on Friday, according to a company spokesperson, after it was known that President Bola Tinubu would require it for a planned meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
