JUST IN: Acting IG Disu arrives Aso Rock Villa for decoration
The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has arrived at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, to be decorated with his new rank.
Disu arrived at the Villa at about 3pm, according to Punch correspondent
His appointment followed the resignation of former IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, whose exit from office was confirmed by the Presidency on Tuesday.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement Tuesday, said President Bola Tinubu accepted Egbetokun’s resignation after he submitted a letter citing pressing family considerations.
