:2026 HOREMOW Women Conference Ends in Jubilation as Kidnapped Members Regain Freedom
The 2026 Women Conference of the Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide (HOREMOW) ended in jubilation, dance, and thanksgiving to God on Friday following the release of 13 members who were abducted en route to the event.
The worshippers were abducted on Sunday, April 26, while traveling from Calabar, Cross River State, to attend the Women Conference scheduled for Tuesday to Friday in Kwali, FCT. They were taken into the bush by their captors.
According to reports, the kidnappers contacted the church leadership demanding a huge sum of money as ransom.
In a letter addressed to the abductors and read to congregants, the International Director of the Movement, Pastor Paul Rika, stated that the church was under no obligation to meet the kidnappers’ demands, declaring the matter to be “between them and God.”
_“Should we encourage their satanic activities with holy money? You are commanded to release them in Jesus’ name,”_ Pastor Rika said.
Addressing the jubilant delegates, the wife of the International Director, Mummy Linda Rika, described the release as a testimony of God’s presence in the church. She urged members to continue to hold fast to God in faith.
The four-day conference, which drew women from several countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, closed with testimonies of diverse miracles, healings, and deliverance from sicknesses and the power of Satan.`
