North Central APC stakeholders plan mega rally in Lafia for Tinubu/Shettima re-election

The North Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network for Tinubu and Shettima 2027 says it will hold a mega rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, to drum up support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The rally is scheduled to be hosted by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, with First Lady Oluremi Tinubu billed as headline guest.

The plan was announced after a meeting of North Central APC stakeholders in Abuja on Wednesday.

The meeting was chaired by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe. In attendance were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, governors and deputy governors from the region, ministers, federal lawmakers and other party leaders.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Yilwatda condoled with families of victims of the recent Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State and the mining pit collapse in Niger State.

He said stakeholders at the meeting agreed to mobilise their political structures for the rally, which he described as the “mother of all rallies.”

“The objective is clear, to demonstrate the North Central’s collective commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027. Our governors, ministers, legislators and all stakeholders are fully aligned and ready to mobilise massively for Lafia,” he said.

According to him, the meeting underscored the need for coordinated grassroots engagement in support of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket.

The stakeholders acknowledged Akume’s role in convening the meeting and thanked Sule for accepting to host the rally.

They also said arrangements were reviewed for the participation of party leaders, women and youth groups and other support groups drawn from the six states in the zone and the Federal Capital Territory.

The meeting, according to Yilwatda, ended with a reaffirmation of support for the rally and for the Tinubu/Shettima second-term bid.
