An attack by gunmen on a military checkpoint in Edda Local Government Area, Ebonyi, resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
According to witnesses, the gunmen opened fire on the soldiers stationed at the checkpoint in the early hours of Friday. One soldier and one of the gunmen were killed in the ensuing battle.
