Two Injured in Lagos Road Accident

Two people sustained injuries in Lagos on Tuesday when a commercial bus collided with a slow-moving articulated vehicle.

The accident occurred around 4:45 a.m. at Ojota, Maryland.

LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed that the crash was caused by the commercial bus’s high speed, which led to it losing control and crashing into the truck from behind.

The bus, with registration number APP 209XZ, struck the truck, registered as T4845LA.

The LASEMA Tiger Response Team from Alausa, Ikeja, conducted the rescue operation.

The victims were extracted from the bus and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The incident caused a temporary traffic gridlock, but the road has since been cleared and reopened.

Oke-Osanyintolu urged motorists to adhere to traffic rules and drive safely to prevent such accidents.
