The local government election in Bauchi State is currently experiencing a significant drop in voter turnout, drawing attention to the challenges in voter engagement.
The local government election is marked by low turnout, in contrast to the general election in 2023 where voters flocked to polling places to cast their ballots.
Ward council results are beginning to come in as some areas wrap up their elections.
“After voting, I got notified that the councillor’s result was going to be announced at a certain location, and I went there. So the result was announced by the returning officer, Muhammad Saleh.
“I was also told that in a short moment from now, the election result for the chairmanship will be announced,” a source said.
