    Fubara Debunks Defection Rumours

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has firmly denied rumors suggesting his intention to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He revealed that Rivers State remains under the control of the PDP, dispelling any speculation of defection.

This assurance was made during a visit by the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT), led by Chairman Senator Adolphus Wabara, at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Governor Fubara acknowledged that while there had been moments of doubt regarding his commitment to the PDP, the visit from the BoT reinforced his loyalty to the party.

He expressed gratitude to the BoT for their efforts to address concerns within the party and reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, highlighting the genuine support from party members in Rivers State.

Governor Fubara also took the opportunity to praise the PDP’s founding members, such as Chief Bode George, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, and Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, for their role in establishing and nurturing the party.

He assured the BoT and party members that his loyalty to the PDP remains unwavering, and he is committed to addressing any issues that have caused dissatisfaction within the party.

The Governor emphasized the importance of accurate information and transparency, maintaining that his stance has remained consistent in all his interactions across different locations.

He expressed optimism that the BoT’s visit would help resolve ongoing issues and put an end to the rumors surrounding his political allegiance.
