Falconets head coach, Chris Danjuma, has announced the squad that will represent Nigeria at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Danjuma selected 21 players for the tournament, which is set to take place from August 31 to September 22. The squad comprises three goalkeepers, six defenders, five midfielders, and seven forwards.
Madrid CFF forward Opeyemi Ajakaye headlines the roster. The squad also features five players who have previously been called up to the Super Falcons: Jumoke Alani, Rofiat Imuran, Comfort Folorunsho, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, and Flourish Sabastine.
The Falconets have been drawn into Group D, where they will face Germany, Venezuela, and South Korea. Nigeria’s first match is scheduled against South Korea at Estadio El Techo in Bogotá on September 1.
