Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President Joe Ajaero faced police questioning at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) office in Abuja, accompanied by human rights lawyer Femi Falana, over allegations of terrorism financing, cybercrime, and related offences.
Ajaero arrived at the IRT office at 10:20 am and departed at 11:15 am after submitting his statement. He opted not to address journalists at the IRT headquarters, instead choosing to speak at the NLC headquarters.
The police had initially invited Ajaero to appear on August 20, but he was unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. He honoured the invitation today, accompanied by senior NLC officials and advocates.
He was accompanied by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana, Marshal Abubakar, Deji Adeyanju, and several senior NLC officials.
