Zamfara Police Commissioner Decorates 160 Newly Promoted Officers

The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Dalijan, has decorated 160 newly promoted officers with their new ranks, following their recent elevation by the Nigerian Police Force.

During a ceremony on Friday at the state police command headquarters, CP Dalijan addressed the officers, emphasizing that the promotion is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the morale and motivation of those on the frontlines of the fight against insecurity in the region.

He highlighted that the promotion serves not only as recognition of past achievements but also as a call to higher service amidst ongoing security challenges. “You have to thank God for the elevation.

This promotion is meant to change the way you think, plan, and operate to reflect your new rank. To whom much is given, much is expected,” Dalijan said.

“We are assigning you new roles that reflect your new status. You must adopt better crime-fighting strategies, as there are high expectations with these new ranks.”

CP Dalijan urged the newly promoted officers to intensify their efforts in combating banditry, stressing that their new ranks come with increased responsibilities.

Among the promotions, 84 Assistant Superintendents of Police II (ASP II) were elevated to Assistant Superintendent of Police I (ASP I), while 76 Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).
