Bandits Abduct Naval Officer, Family in Kaduna
Armed bandits have abducted a naval officer and members of his family in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, August 20, 2025, when gunmen invaded Unguwan Mission, Kachia, at about 2:00 a.m. and whisked away Seaman Olatunji Enoch, 40, of the Nigerian Navy, who is attached to NNSAT Kachia.
The attackers also abducted his wife, Margaret Olatunji, 25, and their 13-year-old daughter, Hellen Bitrus, during the raid.
Security agencies have since launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, with cordon-and-search operations ongoing in surrounding forests and communities. Authorities said the operation is aimed at ensuring the safe rescue of the victims without harm.
