    President Tinubu Extols Late Audu Ogbeh’s Commitment to National Development as Septuagenarian Laid to Rest

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR has paid glowing tribute to the former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, late Chief Audu Innocent Ogbeh for his uncommon contributions to the development of the nation.

    Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, CON made the disclosure at the funeral service of the former Minister while delivering the condolence message of the President to the family in Benue State, describing him as a patriot and a statesman whose selfless service left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s development.

    “The President appreciates profoundly the contributions of late Audu Ogbeh to the development of the country in various capacity: as a Minister, Special Adviser, National Chairman of PDP, managing the Committee that midwifed the emergence of APC that has been in power since 2015”, he said.

    According to a statement issued by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), the SGF urged the people of Benue not to grieve excessively over the loss of the great icon, noting that he lived a fulfilled life as a patriot with notable achievements worthy of emulation.

    Speaking at the funeral service, Adegbeope Ogbeh, son of the late Minister, expressed profound gratitude for the support the family received after their father’s demise. He added that his father had run a good race and finished his course and it’s their desire to imbibe his sterling legacies.

    The funeral service drew prominent attendees, including Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, Senator Dr. Titus Tartenger Zam representing Benue North-West, and Managing Director, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Dr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima. Other notable attendees include top government officials, National Assembly members, dignitaries from across Nigeria, and well-wishers paying their respects to the late Minister
