    World Bank, RAAMP National Team Visit Ogun State to Accelerate Rural Access, Market Infrastructure Delivery

    A high-level delegation from the World Bank and the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), led by the National Coordinator, Engr. Aminu Bodinga Mohammed paid a working visit to Ogun State to assess progress and strengthen implementation of the Project’s rural roads and market-access interventions.

    The mission, which included the World Bank Task Team Leader (TTL), technical and financial specialists from the FPMU-RAAMP, held meetings with Ogun State Government officials, the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU), and local stakeholders to review project performance, address implementation challenges, and agree on next steps to enhance project delivery.

    During the visit, the team evaluated the status of ongoing rural road rehabilitation and resilient design works under RAAMP in Ogun State, as well as procurement, environmental safeguards, and financial management arrangements at both the federal and state levels.

    The National Coordinator commended Ogun State for its commitment to the Project’s objectives and urged the SPIU to maintain momentum toward achieving timely results that will improve rural accessibility, agricultural productivity, and market connectivity across the state.
