Senator Abdullahi thanks President Tinubu for Release of Abducted Papari Pupils, Staff
The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for ensuring the release of all pupils, teachers, and staff of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Papiri, kidnapped on November 21, 2025.
In a statement personally signed by the Minister, he thanked the President for his leadership and determination to secure the release of the abductees, saying it signals the resolve to ensure safety and security of Nigerians.
Senator Abdullahi also appreciated the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State for their roles in securing the release
He called for continued public support to rid communities of elements disturbing peace and urged vigilance and cooperation with security agencies.
The Minister wished the freed abductees, their families, and relatives a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Earlier, 50 pupils had managed to escape from captivity, and a batch of 100 was released by the abductors on December 7. The recent release of 130 abductees marks the final batch, bringing all the kidnapped students and staff home safely to reunite with loved ones.
