Federal Ministry of Women Affairs Celebrates Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim at 46, Lauds Advocacy for Women, Children_
The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has joined millions of well-wishers to celebrate the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, fsi, who turned 46 on April 19, 2026.
In a statement by the Ministry’s Head of Information and Public Relations, Ahmed Danbazau, since assumption of office, the Minister’s leadership has driven remarkable achievements in advancing gender equality, women empowerment, child protection, and social inclusion — gains worthy of public recognition.
The statement noted that Suleiman-Ibrahim’s distinguished record of service includes her tenure as Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, NCFRMI, and as the first female Minister of State for Police Affairs. These roles underscore her commitment to nation building and selfless service.
It also highlighted that Hajiya Imaan’s stewardship aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the 2026 Presidential Declaration of the Year of Families and Social Development. Under this, the Ministry is advancing a structured, inclusive approach to care through the 9-Pillar Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention, RHSII-774.
The statement added that the Ministry proudly celebrates the Honourable Minister for her impactful and exemplary stewardship to women and humanity.
