President Tinubu appoints
Fatima Zuntu as DG/CEO, NBMA
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Fatima Suleiman Zuntu as Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), for an initial term of four years, effective April 16, 2026.
The appointment is in accordance with Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency Act, 2015.
A statement by Chris Ugwuegbulam, Head, Information and Public Relations, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, disclosed that Dr. Zuntu is a public health professional and policy strategist with a track record of driving national programmes.
The statement added that President Tinubu urged the new Director-General to deploy her expertise in service to the nation.
