NISO MD VISITS TCN KANO REGION TO STRENGTHEN GRID COLLABORATION, COMMENDS OFFICE HANDOVER
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, has paid a courtesy visit to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Kano Region, to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and to commend the formal handover of the former TCN Regional Office to NISO.
The NISO MD was received by the General Manager, Transmission, Kano Region, Engr. M. K. Bello, at the Regional Office.
In his remarks, Engr. M. K. Bello expressed appreciation to the NISO Managing Director for the visit and for the cordial relationship between both organizations.
He commended Engr. Abdu Bello for NISO’s consistent support, noting that the agency has always responded promptly with operational assistance whenever required by TCN.7
He assured NISO of Kano Region’s commitment to sustain the existing partnership and provide the necessary operational support to ensure the objectives of the electricity market reform are achieved.
The NISO Managing Director also expressed appreciation to the Regional Management Team for the prior formal handover of the former TCN Regional Office to NISO. He described it as a significant milestone and a demonstration of the mutually beneficial relationship between both companies.
Engr. Abdu Bello reaffirmed NISO’s commitment to close collaboration with TCN in pursuit of a stable, reliable, and efficient national electricity grid.7 He noted that seamless coordination between system operations and transmission infrastructure is critical to grid security and stability, and that continued cooperation is essential to improving power system operations and enhancing electricity service delivery nationwide.
