FCSC Chairman Visits JAMB, Strengthens Partnership for Credible Promotion Exam
The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Prof. Tunji Olaopa, has reaffirmed the Commission’s partnership with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to ensure a transparent, credible and competitive 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Examination.
Prof. Olaopa stated this on Monday, September 22, during a working visit to JAMB Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.
The visit, which came shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 local-leg promotion examinations, was aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration in the deployment of technology, examination infrastructure and other measures to guarantee the integrity of the promotion exercise.
During the engagement, the FCSC delegation was taken through JAMB’s technology-driven examination and monitoring systems, with emphasis on robust processes, transparency and accountability in the conduct of high-stakes examinations.
The FCSC Chairman noted that the collaboration with JAMB forms part of the Commission’s broader reforms to entrench merit-based career progression and uphold professionalism in the Federal Civil Service.
He stressed that leveraging JAMB’s expertise and institutional capacity will help the Commission deliver a promotion examination that is fair, competitive and credible.
The visit underscores the value of inter-agency partnership in promoting best practices and restoring confidence in the promotion process within the Federal Public Service.
