TCN Benin Takes Delivery of 330/132kV Spares to Cut Downtime

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Sub-Region, has taken delivery of a truckload of equipment spares and maintenance materials from its Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) in Abuja.

The consignment arrived on Monday, November 2, 2026.

It comprises 330kV and 132kV tripping coils, rapid pressure relays, current transformer (CT) ratio clamps, gantry structures and porcelain insulators.

The items have been offloaded and secured in the sub-region’s store for immediate deployment when needed.

According to TCN, the delivery will boost the sub-region’s capacity to carry out routine and emergency maintenance promptly.

This, it said, will reduce downtime, improve the reliability of the transmission network and support more efficient delivery of bulk power to load centres of distribution companies serviced by the region.
