Port Harcourt Protesters Block Fubara’s Convoy

Protesters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, briefly blocked Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s convoy, demanding that he address their grievances.

The demonstration, part of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests, entered its third day with participants lining the streets and waving green leaves as a symbol of solidarity.

The protesters, who had regrouped at Pleasure Park, carried placards and expressed their frustration with the current state of governance.

Despite the governor’s convoy passing through, the demonstrators remained resolute, insisting they would not disperse until their demands were addressed.

Saturday’s protests were notably peaceful, with security operatives present to ensure order.

The #EndBadGovernance protests, which began on August 1, continue to draw significant public attention as citizens advocate for increased accountability and better governance.
