Kelechi Iheanacho, who recently signed a two-year contract with Sevilla after leaving Leicester City, is facing delays in joining his new team due to administrative issues.
Despite completing his transfer last week, Iheanacho will miss Sevilla’s upcoming pre-season games, including the match against Fulham.
The delay is attributed to complications with the transfer of his documentation from the English Football Association to the Spanish Federation.
As a result, Iheanacho has not yet received the necessary paperwork to participate in Sevilla’s training sessions.
This unforeseen delay means Iheanacho will be unable to train with his new teammates or participate in Sevilla’s pre-season activities scheduled for this weekend.
The Super Eagles forward was set to start training on Friday, but the issue prevented him from doing so.
Sevilla supporters and head coach García Pimienta are hopeful that the administrative issues will be resolved soon, allowing Iheanacho to integrate with the team and start his preparations for the new season.
