In a standout performance of the year, the Serbian tennis star defeated French Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2) in front of a fervent crowd in Paris.
With this victory, Djokovic becomes only the fifth player to achieve the ‘Golden Slam’ in singles—winning all four Grand Slam titles and the Olympic gold.
He joins an elite group that includes Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Andre Agassi, and Steffi Graf.
