Hoodlums Attack Protesters in Alausa, Forcing Them Off Streets

Some protesters marching in Alausa, Lagos State, were forced off the streets.

Daily Trust reports that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s office is located in Alausa, where the protesters had gathered, defying the court-approved protest venue at Freedom Park in Ojota, since the nationwide protests began on Thursday.

Around midday, hoodlums armed with sticks, machetes, and other weapons attacked the protesters.

The protesters fled in various directions as their assailants approached.

Security operatives present reportedly did not intervene while the protesters sought cover.

This incident occurred 24 hours after hoodlums had chased protesters out of Freedom Park.
