DSS probes arrested Polish Nationals over #EndBadGovernance protests in Kano

The Department of State Service (DSS) is actively investigating seven Polish nationals arrested in Kano for their alleged involvement in the violent #EndBadGovernance protests.

DSS spokesperson Peter Afunanya revealed that the individuals were detained for displaying foreign flags during the protests in the North-West region.

Afunanya assured that the arrest was not targeted at Polish nationals specifically, but rather a necessary step to maintain public order.

The investigation comes as the Federal Government faces criticism for its handling of the protests, with Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar emphasizing the government’s commitment to protecting diplomatic corps members and Nigerians alike.

Tuggar warned that those found guilty of funding the protests, both domestically and internationally, will face consequences.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, a representative of the National Security Adviser, the Inspector General of Police and the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs.
