British Crocodile Expert Sentenced to 10 Years for Abusing Dogs

Adam Britton, a prominent British crocodile expert, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in Australia for sexually abusing numerous dogs, according to BBC reports.

Britton, a respected zoologist who had worked with BBC and National Geographic, admitted to 56 counts of bestiality and animal cruelty, as well as four charges related to accessing child abuse material.

The 53-year-old filmed himself torturing the animals, many of which died, and distributed the videos online under false identities.

His actions went undetected for years until a clue in one of the videos led to his arrest in April 2022. A subsequent search of his property in rural Darwin also uncovered child abuse material on his laptop.

Chief Justice Michael Grant described Britton’s actions as beyond ordinary human comprehension. Britton, who has already served part of his sentence, could be eligible for parole in April 2028 and is permanently barred from owning mammals.
